After being unceremoniously released from UFC and taking some time off, Leslie Smith returns to the cage at Bellator 224 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Friday July 12, 2019.
Leslie an accomplished striker and jiu jitsu practitioner led the UFC in strikes per minute landed and had a winning record before being released, due to what many believe had to do with her involvement with Project Spearhead, an organization dedicated to unionizing fighters. She has since remained vigilant in training and has remained steadfast in her cause to unionize fighters.
Smith (10-7-1) takes on Sinead Kavanaugh (5-3-0) from Ireland in a featherweight bout (145 lbs.) on the prelims which will be broadcast live on BellatorMMA.com starting at 3:45 p.m. PT as well as the Paramount Network (check your local listings).
